White Christmas at Arts Center of Coastal Carolina

Rachel's holidays will be merry and bright once more, this time playing Betty Haynes in the Arts Center of Coastal Carolina's production of White Christmas!

The production will be directed by Mark Martino, Music Directed by Eric Alsford, and Choreographed by fellow OCU Alum Shea Sullivan!

Fun Fact: the first job Rachel booked when she moved to NYC seven years ago was with the Arts Center of Coastal Carolina. She is thrilled to be coming back to Hilton Head as a leading lady!

Fiddler on the Roof at Maine State Music Theatre

Rachel is playing the role of Tzeitel in Maine State Music Theatre's production of Fiddler on the Roof! The production is being directed by Gary John LaRosa and runs from July 20th-August 6th.

Fun Fact: Rachel will now have played all three of Tevye's eldest daughters: Chava, Hodel, and Tzeitel!

White Christmas National Tour

Rachel is returning to the White Christmas National Tour this year!

To make things extra merry and bright, she will be performing the role of Betty Haynes for both the matinee and the evening performances on Saturday December 26th at Proctors Theatre.  Just 20 minutes away from Albany, Rachel saw many national tours come through Proctors while she was growing up, so finally getting to play this theatre is a real treat (especially the week of Christmas!).

Industry Reading of Samson and Delilah

Rachel participated in a closed industry reading of Samson and Delilah,  a new pop/rock musical by Ron Yatter which tells the epic, tragic love story of the biblical couple from different cultures. The reading was directed by Gabriel Barre, the director of Amazing Grace, currently on Broadway. A concept album was recorded last year by American Idol couple Diana DeGarmo and Ace Young.

NY Innovative Theatre Award Nomination

Rachel has been nominated for a New York Innovative Theatre Award! She was nominated for Outstanding Actress in a Featured Role for her performance as Beth Spencer in APAC's Merrily We Roll Along. Merrily was also nominated for Outstanding Production of a Musical.

The New York Innovative Theatre Foundation is an organization dedicated to the celebration of off-off Broadway. This year the nominees represent 57 productions! The nominees were announced Monday July 20th at the Diamond Horseshoe, home to Queen of the Night. The awards ceremony will take place in September.

Prospect Theater Company's BY THE NUMBERS

BY THE NUMBERS is part of Prospect Theater Company's new IGNITE Series at TheTimes Center, featuring today's new voices shaping the future of musical theater. This one-night-only concert event will be Saturday, June 27th at 8pm. The evening features the world premiere performance of 12 "micro-musicals" created in Prospect's 2015 Musical Theater Lab. Each of these original, hot-off-the-presses musical theater shorts runs under seven minutes, and has been inspired by a number -- one through twelve -- creating a song cycle collectively written over the lab's month-long time span by participating composers & lyricists.

Calico Buffalo at the New York Musical Theatre Festival

Calico Buffalo was chosen to be part of NYMF as part of the Next Link Project!

Rachel will be reprising the role of Willa-Mah, the role she played during a reading earlier this year.

Performances are July 8-16.

A Rebel Prayer at NYU

Rachel participated in a reading of A Rebel Prayer by Eloise Govedare and Aleksandra Weil, NYU Graduate Musical Theatre Writing students. Based in Putin’s modern day Russia, A Rebel Prayer is a musical about 13 year old Nikita whose father was murdered for his political views. When Nikita finds a mask resembling that of Russian punk collective Pussy Riot, she begins a fantastical journey of empowerment and rebellion. In the course of her journey, she discovers the truth about her father’s death, and must decide whether freedom should be defended, at any cost.
